Our story
7 glyphs was born back in 2009 and its humble beginnings started out in Russia. The company was started by two people – Igor and Saha. Through their unity, 7 glyphs was able to rise as a promising business. Igor was responsible for the sales and tech aspect of the business, while Saha took care of the creative side of things.
Igor has been in the tech space for more than half of his life, with over 26 years of experience. Saha has more than 25 years of experience in the UX and UI space, which comprises most of her work. Both of them are undeniably adept at their respective fields, but more than their technical skills, they also wanted their values and principles to be the core of the company.
7 glyphs originally started as a web development studio. Then, when iOS was launched, the company started to provide iOS development services as well, then added Android services later on. Being a new business in the tech world was challenging, but the great feedback from the clients made everything worth it.
In 2011, Igor and Saha moved to New Zealand and shut down the business in Russia. It was a huge milestone not just for them but for the entire business. On the 15th of August 2013, Igor registered the company in New Zealand as soon as he got the legal permit and built everything from scratch. It was a rough journey, but the fact that 7 glyphs can thrive in a completely different part of the world proved that the business will continue to grow in the coming years. And indeed, it did.
What kept 7 glyphs alive throughout the years is its passion for quality and customers. It’s always the center of everything that 7 glyphs is doing and is the main driver of the company. Despite moving to a different continent and having to start over again, the core values of the company never changed.
By 2018, the company has grown to twelve people, moved to a nice office in Ponsonby, and has served a variety of clients in New Zealand and across the globe. 7 glyphs is now providing a variety of services such as iOS, Android, hybrid, and web design and development that are created to solve tasks of any complexity in the digital space.
